A disgraced former politician isn’t ruling out a come back. Andrew Cuomo may consider running for New York governor again. He hinted at a potential this week while speaking at a New York Hispanic Clergy Organization event in the Bronx.

The former governor resigned in disgrace amid sexual harassment allegations last year, which he still denies. Instead, Cuomo blamed “cancel culture” for leading to his resignation while also accusing political members from his own party of wanting him out of the way.

“…Cancel the cancel culture, that’s not who we are,” stated the former official. “We’re Americans. Our cancel culture mentality today is a modern day stonings. Remember, the stonings in the Bible?”

The elder Cuomo went on to directly address the eleven sexual harassment charges against him. The governor who once called it despicable to question survivors had no problem casting doubt on his accusers.

“How can you have a report that said 11 cases?” he asked. “And then it goes to qualified law enforcement and they find no cases. It was a fraud. Eleven to zero. It was a fraud. They wanted me out.”

Despite the allegations, Cuomo said the curtain has yet to close on his public life. In a hypothetical gubernatorial match up, Cuomo only trailed incumbent Governor Kathy Hochul by four points. If the Democrat wanted to make a potential bid he would need to do it quickly as petitions for state wide office are due in April.
